If Miami is not on your bucket-list of destinations to visit, you really need to put it on there. The city in Florida is distinguished for the countless beaches that are all a wonder to visit. With plenty to visit, it’ll be a challenge fitting them all into your trip so we’ve got the top Miami beaches that are so dreamy that you’ll want to book your flight with us to Miami with Air Europa immediately.
Surfside is a quiet yet beautiful beach that has a small beach town vibe. It is a locals beach (open for tourists) but is simply beautiful, untouched and a lot quieter than other beaches in Miami. If you’re lucky enough to be in Miami on the first Friday of a month, we recommend heading here. The locals gather together to listen to music, drink and take part in kid-friendly activities. It’s a brilliant way of mingling with the locals and making the most of the great atmosphere.
Haulover Beach is considered to be one of the most scenic stretches of beachfront with white sands and a soft current. It is a lovely big beach which is surrounded by nature so you really feel isolated from the sky rise buildings and the business of Miami. On a Tuesday night you can find the truck festival where there are snacks and live music which is a fun event for all ages.
There is also a nude beach (between the two northernmost parking lots), so if you don’t fancy those pesky bikini tan lines then head here but just be aware of the area if you don’t fancy seeing more of someone than you want.
Miami Beach is very popular for those lazy afternoon walks, jogs and just enjoying the beach. With an elevated boardwalk you don’t have to worry about getting sand in your shoes if you don’t want to stray to the beach. The white sand, turquoise sea and glaring sun all combined make an excellent trip to this popular beach. It is less crowded than South Beach but just as beautiful.
Fort Lauderdale Beach
This handsome strip of beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Miami that has a brick promenade which is often used by skaters, joggers and cyclists. It is a desirable beach and because it is considerably quieter than other beaches, it has a laidback atmosphere which is what brings people back to this brilliant beach. You’ll definitely enjoy the postcard view.
Matheson Hammock Park
The sheltered beach is an absolute wonder that is so unique to the others. There is a man-made atoll pool in the centre and the beach surrounds it, making it a great option for people looking to start kite-boarding and swim. If you take a hammock with you, you can set up and gently sway in the wind while enjoying the peaceful view of Matheson Hammock Park.
If you’re taking your canine best friend with you, Hobie Beach is one of the few dog-friendly beaches in Miami. If you you’re not bringing a dog with you don’t worry, you’ll be sure to see some splashing around the shallow waters. Other than dogs, the beach is also popular with surfboarders so you can always see people trying out some water-activities and you can also give it a go. There are places available which offer windsurf, jet-ski and sailing boat rentals.
