Hong Kong is the perfect place to visit for a few days, so if you have a stopover in the city or just fancy a few nights away, you could definitely plan a 3-day itinerary in Hong Kong. There is so much to do that it’s easily thought that it is impossible. It’s not. We’ve got the essential itinerary that will make sure you have the time of your life in the city for a short amount of time so book those Hong Kong flights ASAP.

Day 1 – Sightseeing and Shopping

Of course, you’ll want to kick start your 3 days in Hong Kong with some sightseeing so we recommend waking up early and heading to the iconic ICC Tower. Go all the way up to the Sky100 observation deck and see the city from above and admire its beauty before getting stuck in. It is also next to Elements Mall so you can pop and do some shopping while passing by.

Now you’ve seen the city from above in the centre, head to Victoria Harbour at around lunch time to see the city from sea-level. There are also some great places to eat and Harbour City Mall or the famous IFC Mall so if you fancy doing some more shopping you can.

After you’ve grabbed a bite to eat, you should definitely add Victoria Peak onto your Hong Kong 3 day itinerary. It is one of the essential sights that you should visit as you get to see the city from one of the best and most popular views. It is right in the heart of Hong Kong will definitely be an enjoyable afternoon walk.

There are so many places to visit in Hong Kong to shop but we really recommend the Temple Street Night Market. You’ll never visit a night market with the same atmosphere plus you’ll be surrounded by bargains. Grab some dinner and then get ready for your evening entertainment.

When the sun goes down you should watch the Symphony of Lights. It is popular with tourists and a wonderful way of learning about all the different buildings.

Day 2 – Factual but Exciting

Your first day of your 3 day itinerary in Hong Kong might have tired you out, so the second day will be a little less packed. In the morning visit Hong Kong Museum of History for your vital history lesson on the city. Trust us; you’ll learn some fascinating things about the cities financial power and its trade centre. Be prepared to be blown away.

For the rest of the day, head to another tourist attraction which is Ocean Park; click here to check it out. It is similar to Sea World in Orlando with thrill rides, aquariums, and shows being put on by some amazing marine life.

Day 3 – Culture

On your last day, it’d be wrong to not include something to do with Hong Kong’s culture on your 3 day itinerary. Because of limited time, one of the best ways of seeing all the culture is to book a cultural tour. We recommend a visit to Lantau Island & Giant Buddha Day Trip.

You could also visit Macau which is like the Las Vegas of the Asia if you don’t fancy booking a cultural day trip.

So there you go, Hong Kong on a 3 day itinerary is possible which makes it the perfect stopover destination; or if you fancy just a few nights away Hong Kong is perfect for that too. Although there is so much to see and do, you’ll get all the best bits in 3 days with this itinerary.
